Promoting better health across the nation
The 2016 Cultivating Healthy Communities Request for Proposals (RFPs) closed on April 15, 2016. Notification of Stage 1 decisions will be given on May 13, 2016. This RFP was the Aetna Foundation’s only open invitation of grant applications for the 2016 grant cycle. While we do not have information available for the 2017 cycle, we encourage you to sign up for our newsletter to learn about future funding opportunities. How we partner with nonprofit organizations
The Aetna Foundation works at two levels. We partner with national and select international organizations, funding their pioneering approaches to improving health among large groups of people. At the same time, through our GoLocal: Cultivating Healthy Communities program, we give grants to local nonprofits across the United States, nurturing innovations that can inspire healthier lifestyles. The Aetna Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals, but rather reaches out to targeted nonprofits to develop projects or provide funding. On occasion we issue specific Requests for Proposals for work that closely aligns with our funding priorities.
Matching grants for Aetna employees and retirees
Aetna’s employees and retirees have a proud tradition of contributing their time and money to a range of causes. The Aetna Foundation supports this work with a range of matching grant programs.
Employees and retirees may submit an online matching grant request through our Grants Portal.
