Sparking improvements to people’s health through community grants and national partnerships
We fund community groups that are advancing healthy eating and active living in homes, schools and neighborhoods. A major part of this effort is connecting people of limited means with fresh fruits and vegetables through community gardens, urban farms and farmers markets.
Despite medical advances in America, health and health care inequities persist for members of various racial and ethnic minorities. Working with institutional partners, the Aetna Foundation focuses on understanding connections between where people live and receive health care, and the quality and equity of the care they receive.
We work with national partners to identify opportunities and harness the power of innovation for communities most in need. We’re putting today’s most effective tools to work to improve health care access, treatment and decision-making. Our goal: to profoundly impact chronic disease management.
We partner with esteemed organizations to shape a new generation of health care professionals and researchers. Our work connects underserved communities with talented, passionate medical professionals who can make a difference today and tomorrow.
