    The Aetna Foundation has given $100,000 to the Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing and the explosion in West, Texas, access the health care and practical support services they need to recover. Funds will allow PAF to provide individualized, professional case management services at no cost to the patients.
  • Aetna, Aetna Foundation Gave More Than $14.6 Million to Nonprofits in 2012
    Aetna Inc. and its philanthropic arm, the Aetna Foundation, donated more than $14.6 million to nonprofit organizations in 2012. Grants were awarded to tackle poor nutrition and increase physical activity, confront the shortage of primary care physicians and find new ways to fix the fragmented delivery of health care, issues that disproportionately impact low-income and minority communities.

    Continuing its efforts to promote health and wellness, the Aetna Foundation has awarded a $75,000 grant to FoodCorps. The funding aims to help transform eating habits of children from low-income communities by promoting nutrition, teaching gardening and expanding healthful school food choices.
