Stephanie Tatro, CPA

Financial Officer

Stephanie Tatro, CPA, financial officer, is responsible for managing the financial systems of the Aetna Foundation, including accounting, check writing, financial reporting, budget reporting, and tax and regulatory reporting.

Prior to joining the Aetna Foundation, she was an accountant with Atlantic Development & Investments Inc. in Hartford, where she had responsibility for monitoring and reviewing a range of internal financial processes, including payables, receivables, payroll and budget reconciliation.  Previously she was finance director for the Town of East Haddam, Conn., and for 10 years was a business assurance manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hartford.

A certified public accountant, she earned her BA in accounting at Michigan State University.  She is a past president of the Friends of the Portland (Conn.) Library and is president of the Valley View School parent-teachers organization.
